Mary Ricketts, our CEO and founder, began her leadership journey in 1990 in the telecommunications industry. Her natural ability to assess, train, develop, and coach others led her to leadership roles across various sectors, eventually founding Turning Point Training and Development in 2019. The company was born from a desire to support community partners in achieving organizational success through professional and experienced resources.

A: To keep employees engaged during online training, providers often use interactive elements such as quizzes, polls, breakout sessions, group discussions, and real-time feedback to create an immersive learning experience.
Online training can be delivered both live and on-demand. Live sessions allow for real-time interaction with instructors and peers, while on-demand training offers the flexibility for employees to complete the training at their own pace.
A: Online training materials are typically accessed through our learning management system (LMS) or our dedicated training platform for live sessions. Employees can log in using their credentials and access training materials from anywhere with an internet connection.
A: A wide range of training can be provided online, including leadership development, communication skills, team building, soft skills, administrative skills, personal & professional development, public speaking, sales, coaching programs and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs.
A: Yes, often there's a need to purchase training in blocks of hours and select the topics as needed throughout the year. We offer 25-100 hours packages. Each online or in person session is capped at 20 participants per session and 4 hours is the max per session. (Average virtual sessions are 2 hours.)
A: Yes! We enjoy training outside of the Kansas City area. There is an additional fee to cover time and travel for both US and international sessions and may require two team members.
